Popular places to visit in Delhi


  1. Haus Khas Village




Haus Khas Village is located in South delhi .The best landmark for strangers is  green park or IIT,Delhi.It is popular  for its peaceful  ambience and divine beauty. It is surrounded by a lake which makes the view more charming. Even people come to this area for morning walk.

2.  Red Fort


  

Red fort  was the residence of Mughal emperor untill 1857, for nearly 200 years. It is located in the middle of  delhi. Places to visit nearby Red fort are chawri bazar, Lahori gate,delhi gate,water  gate, chhatta chowk, Mumtaz mahal, Rang mahal,Khas mahal and moti masjid.

3. India Gate



It is known as a war memorial and is located straddle the Rajpath.The memorial carry the names of more than 13,516 British and Indian soldiers who were killed in the Afghan war ,1919, during the world war I.The nearest metro station is pragati maidan.India gate is major tourist place and common picnic spot for tourist and residents. The night view of India gate attacts more tourist.



4.   Chandni chowk 



Chandni chowk is one of the oldest and flock  market area in Old Delhi. It is nearby old delhi railway station. The Red Fort is situated  within the market. Chandni chowk is famous for its marvellous food,bridal lehengas, wedding gifts and cards. There are so many shopping points in Chandni chowk where you can bargain easily  and purchase at affordable price.

5.Gurudwara Bangla Sahib




Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is a sikh worship house in delhi .It is situated near Connaught place,on baba khadak singh marg ,New Delhi .The ambience here is very pure and peaceful.If you want to spend a peaceful and traquil time, believe me this is the place you are searching for.

6. Qutub Minar





Qutub Minar is the tallest brick minaret in the world. It is around 72m long in height.It is located in mehrauli, New Delhi.The nearest metro station is Qutub Minar metro station.Qutub Minar is surrounded by several historically significant monuments ,which are historically connected with the tower and are part of Qutub Complex. These includes the Iron Pillar of India, Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque,Alai Darwaza, the Tomb of Itutmish, Alai Minar , Ala-ud-din's Madrasa and Tomb, and the Tomb of Imam Zamin.


7.  Lajpat Nagar 





If you  are shopaholic and love window shopping and looking for such a place in delhi, then your search ends here. Central market in Lajpat Nagar is famous for garments and textiles. This market is situated in south delhi.The nearest metro station is Lajpat nagar metro station.

8. Lotus Temple





Lotus temple is popular for its flower like shape architecture. It is open to all, regardless of the religion and caste. The buliding is composed of 27 free standing marble-clad patterns arranged in clusters in three to form nine sides , with nine doors opening onto a central hall with height of slightly over 40 metres and a capacity of 2,500 people.It is located in kalkaji,New delhi.
